WKAR Welcomes New Fans to Facebook, YouTube

WKAR has expanded its communication platforms to include Facebook fan pages, a Flickr site and an extensive selection of videos on YouTube.

Facebook members may become a fan of several WKAR-related program streams, including QuizBusters, Backstage Pass, 90.5 Classical from WKAR or WKAR -- Public Media from Michigan State University.

WKAR periodically posts updates, photo galleries and provides updates to fans about programs and special events.

WKAR's YouTube site
features lots of videos, both related to WKAR programs like Backstage Pass and DTV & You as well as videos focusing on various units at Michigan State University. You can join guides on the WPA walking tour of MSU or enjoy features from the MSU School of Music. In addition, those hoping to be a big winner in WKAR's Reading Rainbow contest can check out videos of last year's winners!

Segments that have been the most popular on YouTube's WKAR site have included musical selections by Root Doctor, Big Willy and Professors of Jazz.

WKAR's Flickr site includes photos from WKAR productions. For a selection from Backstage Pass concerts by Professors of Jazz, Root Doctor and H2 Quartet, visit flickr.

You can link to any of these sites from the logos on the WKAR.org home page.
