WKAR Invites You to Attend a Community Conversation
WKAR invites you to attend a community conversation about the role of work force evolution and job creation in shaping mid-Michigan’s economic future. The discussion will help inform the content of WKAR's "reWorking Michigan" initiative, a collaboration between WKAR and regional businesses and organizations.
The event will take place Tuesday, February 9, from 6-8 p.m. in Lansing Community College’s Board Room. Check-in begins at 5:45 p.m. Finger food and refreshments will be provided.
The event is free, but advance registration is required. | Registration for this event is now FULL.
Future community conversations on this topic will be held in East Lansing and Jackson.
This conversation is part of reWorking Michigan, a WKAR initiative focused on jobs and job training, entrepreneurship and related issues. In addition to the Lansing gathering, events will be held in February and March in Jackson and in East Lansing.
Listen to WKAR Radio for “reWorking Michigan” features, look for WKAR-TV programs related to this topic and visit WKAR.org for video and radio reports related to the economy along with a list of links of community resources and regional organizations that emphasize jobs.
Local support for WKAR's By the People: Hard Times, Hard Choices project is provided by MacNeil/Lehrer Productions, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and The Rockefeller Brothers Fund.
