Michigan Decision 2008: Michigan Primary A Gamble For Clout
Once the voting is done in New Hampshire, the nation’s attention will turn to Michigan. At least that was the hope of the state’s political leaders when they defied the national parties and decided to make Michigan one of the earliest primary states on the calendar.
Michigan taxpayers were told that for the cost of a $10 million election, they’d win clout in choosing the presidential nominees.
As MPRN's Rick Pluta reports, things have not worked out exactly as they had hoped.
