BUDGET UPDATE: House voting on temporary budget

LANSING, MI – The state House is voting on a 30-day temporary budget that would continue current spending levels for 30 days. That would buy lawmakers more time to reach a budget deal with the midnight deadline drawing closer. The Senate would also have to adopt the temporary plan. But GOP leaders want a temporary budget to cut spending.
