Al then transitions into Michigan State women's basketball by inviting head coach Suzy Merchant to the program! Merchant talks about her excitement of the upcoming season, after coming off a year in which her team won 21 games and made an NCAA tournament appearance. She also shares her thoughts on a few players who she believes will surprise Spartan basketball fans this season, and opens up about her health scare back on New Years Day.
On the back-end of the show, Al highlights the opening exhibition matchup for the MSU men's basketball team against Ferris State tonight.
