Sports never stop. On today's "Current Sports with Al Martin," there is just oh so much to get to as Isaac Constans recaps the crazy weekend that was. First, Michigan State faced off against Notre Dame Friday night under the lights and were defeated 38-18 at Spartan Stadium. Isaac shares his thoughts on not only the game itself, but what to do with LJ Scott, who had yet another crucial fumble at the goal line. Just when we thought the Detroit Lions had found every possible obscure way to lose a game, they go and surprise us yet again. The Lions dropped their first game of the season to the Atlanta Falcons due to the 10-second runoff rule that takes place whenever a play is reviewed. Golden Tate looked to have broken the plane and scored the game-winning touchdown with eight seconds to go. However, the play was reviewed by officials, as every scoring play within two minutes is. When the officials ruled that Tate had not crossed the goal line, the eight seconds ran off the clock and the game was over. Isaac sounds off on the controversial ending. Speaking of controversial, protests erupted around the NFL on Sunday in light of comments made by President Donald Trump, who used vulgar language directed towards players who knelt during the national anthem. Isaac agrees with the players actions, but only to a certain extent. He takes aim at one player who may have taken his protest too far.
