GOP Nominates Two for MSU Trustees

Michigan Republicans have nominated the party's two candidates for the Michigan State University board of trustees. Jeff Sakwa of West Bloomfield will appear on the November ballot with incumbent Melanie Foster.

There are two openings on the board beginning in January.

Sakwa describes himself as a constitutional conservative who is appealing to grassroots activists for support.  He works in the real estate investment field in southeast Michigan.

Democrats will choose two nominees at their convention this weekend in Lansing.
