Gov. Snyder forms commission to help children exposed to lead in Flint

Rebecca Meuninck, Ecology Center Deputy Director

Gov. Snyder has recently announced the creation of the Child Lead Exposure Elimination Commission—an effort to aid children exposed to lead in Flint.

The 15-member commission includes two MSU faculty, Mona Hanna-Attisha and Rebecca Meuninck. WKAR’s Skyler Ashley sat down with Meuninck to discuss the commission’s activities and how they will affect the ongoing Flint water crisis.

Meuninck will serve a two-year term on the commission. She also serves as a committee member for the Michigan Networks for Children’s Environmental Health and the Michigan Alliance for Lead Safe Homes.
