Greg Nagy specializes in performing blues music with a lot of heart and soul. "It's one thing to have technical abilities, but it's equally important to have a sensitivity to the soul of the music. The heart of the music is what I aim for," said Nagy. Nagy has clearly mastered the technical aspects of blues music, but has also managed to create music with a clear heart and soul behind it.

MORE
Greg Nagy specializes in performing blues music that has a lot of heart and soul. "It's one thing to have technical abilities, but it's equally important to have a sensitivity to feel the soul of the music. The heart of the music is what I aim for," the blues guitarist and singer told BackStage Pass. Nagy has mastered not only the technical aspects of blues music (which is evident through his stellar guitar playing), but has also managed to create music with a clear heart and soul behind it.

In the short time that Nagy has been working as a professional musician, he has received acclaim from fans and critics around the nation. Nagy got his start with the widely-known Michigan blues band, Root Doctor. His influence prompted the band to record three albums within four years. Each of the albums received critical praise, and gained the favor of fans all over Michigan as well as the United States.

Nagy released his solo debut album in 2009, titled Walk That Thin Fine Line. The album proved to be an immense success and quickly gained popularity, and earned Nagy a nomination for Best New Artist from the Blues Foundation.

Nagy performs many songs off the album for BackStage Pass. Highlights include the soulful number "Be With You," and the harder rocking blues song, "Walk That Fine Thin Line." Nagy's obvious talent for songwriting will leave audiences refreshed by the modern take on traditional blues music.

Greg Nagy is joined for his performance on BackStage Pass by the Motor City Horns.

Featuring
Greg Nagy (guitar, vocals), Jim Shaneberger (bass guitar, vocals), Jim Alfredson (keyboards), Kevin DePree (drums & vocals). Also featuring the Motor City Horns: Mark Byerly, Keith Kaminski, John Rutherford, Bob Jensen.
