A mid-Michigan man who authorities say was wounded after shooting at tactical officers is facing charges in an earlier shooting.

Michael Magik Jones of Holt was arraigned Monday at a hospital after the 25-year-old was shot Saturday in Lansing.

Court records didn't list a lawyer for him.

Charges stem in part from an earlier shooting.

Police say officers began searching for Jones after shots were fired at an apartment complex where no one was injured.

An officer spotted him about an hour later and reported he shot at her and she returned fire.

Officials say he fled and was spotted by a helicopter at an abandoned lumberyard.

Officers approached him with an armored truck, but police say he opened fire.

No officers were wounded.

The police-involved shootings are under investigation.
