Lansing School Board Outlines Plan To Fill Vacancies

The recent death of Shirley Rodgers created one of two vacancies on the Lansing Board of Education.

The Lansing Board of Education has announced a plan for filling two vacancies.

Applications are due at noon on Friday, January 12th. Interviews will applicants will be conducted on January 25th, though another day of interviews could be planned for January 23rd if needed. Deliberations and selections will be made on February 1st. The two new members will then be sworn in on February 8th.

The vacancies were created by the recent death of board member Shirley Rodgers and the resignation of new Lansing city council member Peter Spadafore.
