Lansing School Board Outlines Plan To Fill Vacancies

Shirley Rodgers photo — The recent death of Shirley Rodgers created one of two vacancies on the Lansing Board of Education.

The Lansing Board of Education has announced a plan for filling two vacancies.

Applications are due at noon on Friday, January 12^th. Interviews will applicants will be conducted on January 25^th, though another day of interviews could be planned for January 23^rd if needed. Deliberations and selections will be made on February 1^st. The two new members will then be sworn in on February 8^th.

The vacancies were created by the recent death of board member Shirley Rodgers and the resignation of new Lansing city council member Peter Spadafore.
