Lucas Holliday was chosen to advance on 'The Voice' by judge Jennifer Hudson.

Lansing’s “singing cashier,” Lucas Holliday, appeared on NBC’s “The Voice” last night. His audition song was Maxwell’s “This Woman’s Work.”

Holliday was chosen to continue by “Voice” judge Jennifer Hudson. The Oscar-winner was so impressed that she joined him for an impromptu gospel song.

Last year, a video of Holliday singing another Maxwell song at his Dollar General cash register went viral. A short time later, Maxwell invited Holliday to perform with him at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

Holliday talked about singing with Maxwell on WKAR's Current State last November.
