MORE
The Lash's musical talents are evident during every song. From expertly constructed Celtic-rock gems like "The Lucky One” and "Bad Tattoo,” to their beautiful, heart-felt ballads like "Johnny Come Home,” The Lash provide something for everyone to enjoy. As viewers will discover, watching The Lash perform is an experience that won't easily be forgotten.

The Lash is a band that cannot be classified by typical labels. Refusing to be contained to one genre, The Lash blends rock, folk, and Celtic musical styles to create a sound that is completely their own.

"We've always been too rock 'n' roll for the folkies and too folksy for the rockers,” says band lead singer, Rob Klajda. Despite their unwillingness to conform, this genre-bending act has built a long and successful career and amassed a large fan bass around the country.

The unique style of The Lash results from the combination of traditional Celtic instruments infused with American rock elements like the guitar and drum set. This is paired with lead singer Rob Klajda's beautiful melodies and lyrics to create a truly original and talented Michigan act.

The Lash got their start in the mid-Michigan bar circuit as a "just for fun” side project for Klajda and accordionist Mike Lynch.  Their obvious talent and unique sound quickly garnered them a large local following.

In response to their newfound popularity, The Lash began to get serious. Once they started booking festival gigs all over the country they worked hard to perfect their instrumentation and songwriting. They continued to gain exposure and The Lash toured steadfastly for nine years. The Lash has toured nationally with many well-known acts; often playing over 200 shows a year.

Fans of rock 'n' roll, folk, Americana, Celtic music, and more are sure to be wowed by the performance.

Personnel
Rob Klajda (Vocals, Banjo, & Cittern), Bob Bryan (Drums), Jon Herrmann (Bass Guitar), Andy Wilson (Accordion, Harmonica, Whistle, Trumpet)
