Running back Madre London celebrates a touchdown in the win over Rutgers.

The 49-0 drubbing of Rutgers on Saturday finally gave the MSU football team a conference win. We talk with Current Sports host Al  Martin about the Spartan victory and Michigan's loss at Iowa.

The MSU football team hasn’t given its fans much reason to smile this year, but on Saturday there were many pearly “green and whites” grinning from ear to ear. The Spartans shutout lowly Rutgers, 49-0, marking the fourth time in the Mark Dantonio era that his defense has allowed no points.

On the flip side, the top-tier of the college football world experienced a bit of heartbreak. Three of the top four teams were upset, including the Michigan Wolverines, who lost in the closing moments on the road against Iowa.

Current Sports host Al Martin joins us to recap the highs and lows of the sporting weekend.
