Wed. Aug. 31 at 6pm at Red Cedar Spirits in East Lansing | If you can't stand the heat... stand on a stage and tell a story!
Have you ever been under pressure to meet a deadline? Has a stressful or action-packed situation forced beads of sweat to form on your brow? Or maybe you've got a story about fire, or your hot water heater, or a time when it was so hot outside you lost your cool.
Whatever happened, we want to hear how you handled it!
Join us at Red Cedar Spirits for an evening of community storytelling on the theme "the heat is on." Stories should be true, firsthand accounts. They should be around five minutes long and family and FCC friendly. If you don't have a story to share, come enjoy yourself as an audience member!
Please note: space is limited at Red Cedar Spirits. You must REGISTER to be guaranteed a seat!
Current State host Mark Bashore will be hosting the event, and the bar at Red Cedar Spirits will be selling their signature cocktails and snacks.
If you want to sign up to tell a story, or request additional information or assistance for persons with disabilities, please email Katie Cook at firstname.lastname@example.org.
