Showers Possible Saturday & Easter Sunday

You may need to keep a rain jacket handy for Easter egg hunts and Easter Sunday services. 

Here is your weekend weather forecast from meteorologists at the National Weather Service office in Grand Rapids:

Saturday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 78. West southwest wind 8 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Saturday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 9pm and 2am, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. Southwest wind 11 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Sunday: Showers likely, mainly before 8am. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 70. West wind 11 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 43. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light west after midnight.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 64.

Tuesday: A slight chance of showers after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 64.

Wednesday: Showers likely, mainly before 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63.
