Sundance winner at MSU explores "The Heart of Cambodia"

'A River Changes Course' will be shown Thursday night in room B115 of Wells Hall at MSU. Filmmaker Kalayanee Mam will take questions after the movie.

Michigan State University celebrates Geography Awareness Week with multiple campus-wide educational and entertainment opportunities through this Sunday. One event includes a screening of the 2013 Sundance Film Festival award-winning documentary "A River Changes Course".

Director, producer and cinematographer Kalayanee Mam will present the film on Thursday evening at MSU’s Wells Hall. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. She’ll also follow her screening with a question and answer session.

Current State's Peter Whorf caught up with Mam to discuss the California resident and native Cambodian’s work.
