The Turner-Dodge House on Lansing’s north side was built just before the Civil War. It’s one of mid-Michigan’s most popular tourist sites. This weekend, Christmas comes alive as the old mansion hosts its annual Festival of Trees. Current State’s Kevin Lavery takes a peek inside.
One of Lansing’s most popular landmarks is preparing for a growing holiday tradition. Starting tomorrow, the Turner-Dodge House on the city’s north side will host its fourth annual Festival of Trees. The event showcases trees decorated by both individuals and businesses, many with a particular theme.
Current State’s Kevin Lavery stepped inside the historic home this week for preview with Friends of the Turner-Dodge President Michael Beebe, who says they have more trees this year than ever before.
