Wharton Center’s ‘Cirque’ is Holt grad’s homecoming

Tonight at the Wharton Center, 300 costumes, 20 acts, and 30 performers from 12 countries will arrive on stage for the touring production of "Cirque Dreams Holidaze." But it will also be a homecoming performance for one member of the troupe. We speak with the Holt High School graduate working behind the scenes for this upcoming theatrical production of "Cirque Dreams."

The Wharton Center has a new touring show opening tonight and going through Saturday evening: "Cirque Dreams Holidaze." The show bills itself as Broadway musical, a family Christmas spectacular, and a new cirque show all in one.

Cirque Dreams is a Florida-based company that puts on shows all over and have even had engagements on Broadway. "Cirque Dreams Holidaze" is now in its seventh year of holiday touring, and although this production features performers from 12 various countries, the sound engineer knows Mid-Michigan and the Wharton Center very well.

Current State's Jamie Paisley talks with Holt High School graduate Rachelle Hough about her work with Cirque Dreams.
