Michigan residents who want to get into the medical marijuana business had their last shot at a training session Wednesday. Michigan Public Radio’s Cheyna Roth reports the last session was held in Lansing.

A Referendum Petition aiming to stop Lansing’s Medical Marijuana Ordinance has been determined invalid. WKAR’s Karel Vega reports.

The state has reversed its decision when it comes to letting medical marijuana dispensaries stay open while they wait for a license. Michigan Public Radio’s Cheyna Roth has more.

In an about-face, Michigan regulators said Wednesday that medical marijuana businesses can stay open while seeking a state license as long as they have been operating with the approval of their local community.

Medical marijuana dispensaries could be required to have 300-thousand dollars in capitol to open up shop. The state licensing board made its recommendations for financial requirements for medical marijuana licenses Tuesday. Michigan Public Radio’s Cheyna Roth has more.

A group named Let Lansing Vote organized a petition drive which successfully suspended the city’s new medical marijuana ordinance. They submitted an estimated 6,400 signatures to the City Clerk’s office Friday.
