In the fall of 2003, best-selling author Deepak Chopra published his 36th book, Golf for Enlightenment: The Seven Lessons for the Game of Life. The book draws parallels between the mental and physical fundamentals of golf and basic steps for achieving happiness in life.

Chopra took up the game several years ago and soon began advising golf professionals. The idea for a book evolved from his related experiences, both on and off the course.

NPR's Scott Simon recently hit the links with Chopra, on a course at the La Costa Resort just north of San Diego, where his Center for Well Being is headquartered.
