Barnett Rosenberg dead at 82

EAST LANSING, MI – One of the most prominent researchers in Michigan State University history, Doctor Barnett Rosenberg, has died.

Rosenberg's career at MSU spanned 36 years, until 1997. He and his colleagues created the chemotherapy drug cisplatin, which was FDA approval in 1978.

He was named Michiganian of the year in 1979.

There will be no funeral services.

Barnett Rosenberg was 82.
