Democratic gubernatorial candidate Virg Bernero is set to announce a plan he says will bring back jobs to Michigan and improve the state's struggling economy.
The Lansing mayor has scheduled a news conference for Wednesday morning at an auto plant in Detroit to unveil the strategy he's calling "Make It In Michigan."
In a news release, Bernero says his economic plan includes "restoring the prowess" of Michigan's "advanced manufacturing capabilities."
Bernero faces House Speaker Andy Dillon in the Democratic primary on Aug. 3.
