Michigan AG investigating oil spill in river

By AP

LANSING, MI –

The Michigan attorney general's office will investigate a massive oil spill in the Kalamazoo River. Republican Mike Cox made the announcement today. He's one of several gubernatorial candidates who have toured the spill area.

Meanwhile, Enbridge says the huge oil spill in the Kalamazoo River has been contained and it is shifting the focus to the cleanup. The Environmental Protection Agency says the oil appears to be contained near a spot on the river about 80 miles east of Lake Michigan. At least 820,000 gallons spilled from a pipeline.
