LANSING, MI –
Rick Snyder has talked about what he calls reinventing Michigan throughout his campaign to become governor.
He'll do so again Saturday when he takes the oath of office at the state Capitol.
A Snyder spokeswoman says he'll also stress that all state residents could play a part in reinvigorating Michigan.
The Republican Snyder beat Democrat Virg Bernero in November's election. Term-limited Democratic Gov. Jennifer Granholm is leaving after eight years in office.
Granholm has moved out of the governor's executive office near the Capitol, and workers are preparing it for Snyder's arrival.
Snyder takes over as Michigan has one of the nation's highest unemployment rates and a projected budget deficit of roughly $1.8 billion for the fiscal year starting in October.
