EAST LANSING, MI –
Michigan State University Trustees have approved the renovation of the MSU Music Building.
WKAR's Scott Pohl reports.

Fixing up the Music Building on campus will cost $2.45-million. Dean James Forger says one major problem addressed by the renovations is acoustical isolation.
"There are lots of sounds from the courtyard," Forger says, "motor vehicles and the like, traffic from the hallway, that comes and disturbs performances, and that's critical when people are making recordings, for example."
The Music Building will also get, for the first time, air conditioning.
MSU Trustees today also approved the appointment of Douglas Buhler as interim dean of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, as well as Mark Burnham as vice president for governmental affairs.
