"Painting Outside the Lines” – a new exhibit featuring the work of renowned water color artist, Maxine MacLeod – is now on display at The Peoples Church of East Lansing. It includes 22 pieces from her collection of landscapes, lakescapes and flowers of the Midwest. The exhibit, which will be on display through July 18, 2019, is open to the public and free of charge. Hours for viewing are Monday through Friday, 12:00 Noon through 4:00 PM, and Sunday 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Visitors may enter from the church parking lot and pick up an exhibit catalog inside the NW entrance of the church. Maxine MacLeod has been a resident of Michigan most of her life and now divides her time between Holland and Pentwater. She has exhibited in galleries throughout Michigan, Illinois and Florida and her paintings are in many private and corporate collections, including the permanent collections of Western Michigan University, the University of Michigan and West Shore Community College. As a popular illustrator she was commissioned by the Holland Tulip Time Festival to design their 1989, 1990 and 2009 posters.
