Event Description

A family researches their own history at the Archives of Michigan

Enjoy educational programs and family fun activities throughout the Michigan History Center at this FREE event, held concurrently with the 2019 Abrams Foundation Family History Seminar. Make a "Daguerreotype-style" image, practice your calligraphy, get started with your own family history research, learn a little about caring for your own family heirlooms and more! Your family's story is important - explore it further at this signature event. -------------------------------- During the event, be sure to explore Secret Lives of Michigan Objects | Special Exhibit. Learn how "everyday" objects - just like the ones you have in your home - make up Michigan's history.
