Neighbors in Action: Portland Community Fund Association

Portland Community Fund Association logo

On June 22nd, the town of Portland was devastated when a tornado passed through the town. Current State's Neighbors in Action segment this week looks at the Portland Community Association Fund, which has added a Portland Disaster Relief Fund to its work in the community.

Every Wednesday here on Current State, Neighbors in Action talks with people working together to improve the lives of others in their communities. Today, we learn about the Portland Community Fund Association, a group that has responded to the devastation of that town’s tornado on June 22nd. The organization has established the Portland Disaster Relief Fund to help people pay for repairs in the weeks since the storm.

David Palme is president of the Portland Community Fund Association, and Lee Klein, a Portland business owner who has been a beneficiary of the Portland Disaster Relief Fund.
