Having a sick or injured child in the hospital is difficult enough, but add to that the logistics of having to travel away from home for your child to receive care and it becomes a very stressful situation. For Neighbors in Action we speak to the executive director of Ronald McDonald House Mid-Michigan, Carolyn Hurst, and a mother who has stayed at the house, Jen Van Nortwick.

When children are injured or become seriously ill, their families want them to have the best care possible. Often, the best available care isn’t close to home.

Ronald McDonald House is a global non-profit that serves as a home away from home for families who need a place to stay nearby while their children are receiving medical care.

For Neighbors in Action this week we talk with the executive director of Ronald McDonald House Mid-Michigan, Carolyn Hurst, and Jen Van Nortwick, a mother who stayed at the house while her son was in the hospital.
