Office Assistant III

WKAR within the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University is seeking a motivated, detail-orientated and energetic Office Assistant III to join WKAR’s business office. This position serves as point-person for accounting transactions organization-wide.

 
As Office Assistant III with WKAR, this position will work closely with the business office to initiate and process accounting transactions for WKAR. Additional responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: process all Pcard purchases for the business office using supporting documentation in compliance with the manual of business procedures; reconcile monthly operating statements for organization by reviewing account activity and working closely with fiscal officer to make corrections, as needed; process all credit card deposits; set-up new vendors in Kuali Financial Systems (KFS); manage keys for organization; process travel; and apply all incoming payments for internal and external underwriting and production services billing.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge normally acquired through a high school education
  • Three to five years of office experience (word processing, spreadsheet, database and/or desktop publishing, presentation software, maintaining account ledgers, etc.)

Desired Qualifications:

  • High attention to detail
  • Proven experience with Kuali Financial Systems (KFS)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience with accounting procedures and policies, travel reimbursements
  • Strong communication skills
