Current Sports | February 17, 2020 | Expectations Changing For MSU Men's Basketball

Tom Izzo
Al Martin - WKAR/MSU

National media bash Mel Tucker; MSU men's basketball falls to Maryland; Laingsburgh and Potterville scoring dispute update with Connor Matthes

On today's Current Sports with Al Martin we begin the show by addressing the national media backlash that has been new MSU football coach Mel Tucker and the way he left the University of Colorado. Al addresses why this is a business and the reason why the media is harping on the story. We then turn our attention to the loss that was Saturday, as MSU men's hoops fell in the closing minutes to Maryland. Do the expectations now need to be adjusted for this Spartans team? Then, we close the show by getting an update on the Laingsburgh and Potterville boy's basketball scoring dispute with Connor Matthes of the Argus-Press. You may be surprised with how this story is, seemingly, coming to a close.
