On today's "Current Sports with Al Martin" we begin by addressing the comments from Detroit Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy, who called the NCAA one of the worst organizations in sports and hinted toward racism within its operation. Al doesn't go as far as to agree with the NCAA being racist, however he does point out that the collegiate governing body is only concerned with one color. We then transition to discussing the Big Ten men's college basketball awards and salute MSU freshman Jaren Jackson Jr. for taking home a lot of hardware! Also, Al addresses new developments concerning the eligibility of Miles Bridges during the win at Wisconsin on Sunday.

To close the show, Al takes comments from two callers and then our own Kevin Lavery brings us an interview with Alex Hosey. Hosey is a freshman basketball player at East Lansing High School and authored an essay entitled "Why I Sit" that address institutional racism in the East Lansing area. The essay has prompted the East Lansing City Council to issue an apology during tonight's meeting. It's a must-listen interview!
