Colin Kaepernick; Protests and Players; Adam Silver; March Madness; DeShaun Tate; Adam Silver; Resting Players.

On today's "Current Sports with Al Martin" take a break from the tournament jamboree and tune in. Al and engineer Isaac Constans begin the hour in accord, despite a contentious topic. Colin Kaepernick, the notable NFL player who garnered plenty of attention by kneeling for the national anthem, is without a job in football, something that President Donald Trump takes credit for. But are the protests really the reason, or is there a more deeply rooted problem with Kaepernick? Al and Isaac go through the ups and downs of the quarterback's career and compare him to some historical examples with similar situations. Then, DeShaun Tate, CBS Atlanta producer and host, has all the March Madness information that you could ever ask for. But because of a lost wager considering the Florida men's basketball team, he owes Al a steak. Finally, Current Sports production assistant Grant Essenmacher joins the cast for a brief discussion of NBA commissioner Adam Silver's issuance that teams should not rest players.
