EL Official Updates Damage to 'Lofts' Site

East Lansing officials say a damaged downtown development will need more repairs than originally thought.City Code Enforcement Director Howard Asch says some steel beams at the 'St. Anne Luxury Lofts' construction project are bent after Monday's partial collapse of the structure.   

Asch says a plan to repair the five-story building on Albert Avenue will begin to take shape after a formal damage assessment from a structural engineer.

No one was hurt in the incident.
