Cooley Law School Stadium, home of the Lansing Lugnuts. Team President Nick Grueser has announced that he will leave the team he joined in 2001..

The president of the Lansing Lugnuts, Nick Grueser, will leave the team in February.

Grueser also served as president of the Lansing Ignite men’s soccer team, which will not return in 2020 after it’s one season at Cooley Law School Stadium.

Grueser says the time commitment is the main reason he’s leaving. He does not have a new position lined up, but hopes to keep his family in the area. “I didn’t grow up here," Grueser explains, "but I have fallen in love with mid-Michigan. I really view this as my home. We live in Mason now, and I love that community. We don’t have any interest in leaving.”

General Manager Tyler Parsons will retain that title while leading the company starting in February. There will be a search for a new vice president of corporate partnerships.
