Various efforts are underway in Michigan to better regulate or legalize marijuana. MLive state capitol reporter Jonathan Oosting helps us understand all the activity.

We’ll forgive you if you’re confused about marijuana in Michigan. For years, almost everyone has struggled to keep up with its shifting legal status. In 2015, the landscape continues to evolve. At the state capitol, legislators are discussing measures to better regulate medical marijuana as well as likely proposals that would legalize it.

Meanwhile, more than one group of reformers have launched signature-gathering campaigns, pursuing ballot proposals aimed at legalization and other reforms.

Current State talks with Mlive state capitol reporter Jonathan Oosting. He's been following the developments and helps us cut through the haze.
