MSU Music Prof Earns Grammy Nomination

Tian Zhou is an associate professor of composition in the MSU College of Music.

An associate professor of composition at Michigan State University has become a Grammy nominee. Tian Zhou is one of the nominees in the Best Contemporary Classical Composition category for his Concerto for Orchestra, as recorded by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.

Michigan is also represented by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra for the DSO recording of Copland: Symphony No. 3; Three Latin American Sketches.

The Grammy Awards will be presented on January 28th.
