As March comes to a close and I reflect on the past few weeks, I’m filled with gratitude for you. It’s because of your support that WKAR has been able to mobilize quickly to provide the resources and programming our community needs.
With schools closed, parents and teachers need a trusted partner to lean on. Because of you, we are here for them with a curriculum-based broadcast schedule and fun activities to match.
Because of you, we’ve been able to launch a new weekly program to provide local context around health recommendations. We’ve also taken care to make sure your local hosts can still work remotely to provide some normalcy and comfort to your day.
Every decision we make is with you in mind.
Thank you for your continued financial and emotional support. Many of you are stepping up with additional gifts, and we’ve appreciated the little notes of encouragement too. We truly are in this together and that is a comfort indeed.
