Raising a glass - and a paint brush - at Lansing bars

Paint Nite merges art instruction with the social scene of local bars. Current State’s Scott Pohl went to Paint Nite a while back to see what’s going on.

Local bars are busy on the weekends, but not so much on many weeknights. To bring people in, they often rely on special prices and entertainment options. One of those options you may have noticed has an artistic appeal. Current State’s Scott Pohl recently attended a Paint Nite event.

Current State’s Scott Pohl attended a Paint Nite event at Reno’s West in Lansing a while back, where he met some new people, including the instructor for the evening, J.F. Weese.

Scott Pohl is a general assignment news reporter and produces news features and interviews. He is also an alternate local host on NPR's "Morning Edition."
