Michigan gubernatorial candidates Bill Schuette and Gretchen Whitmer will hold two televised debates in October, both campaigns announced on Friday.
The first debate will take place at WOOD-TV, the NBC affiliate in Grand Rapids. It will happen Friday, October 12 7:00-8:00 p.m. The moderator is WOOD-TV political reporter Rick Albin.
The second debate will occur at WDIV-TV, the NBC affiliate in Detroit. It will happen Wednesday, October 24 8:00-9:00 p.m. The moderators will be WDIV-TV news anchors Kimberly Gill and Devin Scillian.
Both debates will include opening and closing statements and questions determined by the moderators.
