Curious Crew honored by National Educational Telecommunications Association

Curious Crew, the WKAR original science show for kids, was honored with its third national award during the National Educational Telecommunications Association Awards gala on Jan. 26, 2020.  The awards gala was the opening event of the 2020 NETA Conference and CPB Public Media Thought Leaders Forum at the Crystal Gateway Marriott hotel in Arlington, VA.

Each year, the NETA Awards honor public television’s best work in education, community engagement, marketing/communications and content.

The Curious Crew episode “Wedges” won the award in the category Content: Education/Schools. The award recognizes an exemplary creation of a feature or segment from a program, series or special that covers schools, teaching or education.
