Jemele Hill

"Jemele's Journey" continues with part three of the month-long series as Current Sports host Al Martin sits down with media powerhouse Jemele Hill. Today we center the conversation on social activism from athletes, diving into the national anthem protest of former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Why has the protest died down and will we continue to see athletes in the future take stands like this?

Hill gives insight.

Local sportscaster Jack Ebling joins Al Martin on Current Sports to announce a celebration of life planned for Earle Robinson, longtime radio personality for WKAR's "Sportstalk" on AM 870. Robinson passed away at the age of 71 in May.

Jemele Hill

Last week, you heard "Jemele's Journey" which detailed the career of media powerhouse Jemele Hill, who is an MSU alum and Detroit native. On the second installment of the month-long series, we bring you conversation between Hill and the host of Current Sports, Al Martin, centered on tennis star Serena Williams, who has not always been well-received for her outspokenness for the rights of women and minorities.

Hill explains why that is.
