Food Bank Drive with WKAR

Donated food and items

WKAR is pleased to again host a drive for the Greater Lansing Food Bank through December 15.

The goal for this season's drive is to surpass 1,000 pounds of food and personal products.

Drop Off at WKAR on the MSU Campus

Those wishing to contribute may bring donations of boxed, canned or professionally packaged non-perishable items to WKAR's south lobby in the Communication Arts & Sciences building on the MSU campus.

Items in Need

Please pay attention to expiration dates when gathering donations. Items that are particularly needed include boxed dinners, soups and stews, juices, high protein items such as peanut butter, canned tuna or salmon or meats, canned fruit and vegetables, pasta and ramen, tomato items, snack bars, baby formula, muffin and pancake mixes and boxed dessert mixes. Staples such as flour, sugar and syrup and pre-packaged cookies and crackers are also welcome.

Personal care items may include combs, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, disposable razors, shampoo, soap bars and body wash, dental items and toilet paper.

To help strengthen our local reporting as WKAR's fiscal year ends, we need 75 new or upgraded sustainers by June 30th. Become a new monthly donor or increase your donation to support the trustworthy journalism you'll rely on before Election Day. Donate now.
