It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the Cooley Law School Stadium. The Holiday Lights Stadium Style event opened to the public on Saturday. WKAR student reporter Alina Zhuravel explains how participants can get into the holiday spirit while also embracing the season of giving.

Vice president / general manager, Jeremy Sampson, of Lansing Ignite, joined Current Sports host Al Martin on Tuesday to discuss what led to the folding of the football club after just one season. Sampson addresses the disappointment he feels as ownership decided to pull the plug, shocking many soccer fans in the Lansing area. Lansing Ignite midfielder Marshall Hollingsworth joins Wednesday's Current Sports with Al Martin and discusses a Monday morning meeting in which the team was notified that the football club would be discontinued. Hollingsworth says that club president Nick Grueser delivered the news to the team and that head coach Nate Miller and vice president / general manager Jeremey Sampson were also present. After Grueser spoke, Hollingsworth says that he voiced his displeasure in front of everyone in the room and was met with an understanding response.

The change was fit with a new logo and jersey swap for the team; but it wasn't the only celebration taking place.
