An Ingham county official says lines for COVID-19 tests are getting long, largely because people are getting tests for the wrong reasons.

Eleven people were given tickets for violating health orders in East Lansing on Saturday, the busiest day for police in the city since students returned to Michigan State University this fall.


Ingham County’s top health official says she is not advising safety guidelines for trick or treating that would go beyond those laid out by the state.


Ingham County Health Officer Linda Vail says it’s “very unfortunate” that President Trump held a rally at Lansing’s airport during the pandemic.


A new smartphone app has launched to help reduce the spread of the Coronavirus at Michigan State University. The free app is called MI COVID Alert. It’s a joint project of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, the Ingham County Health Department, and MSU.

Ingham County’s Health Officer wants to make sure people know that there are still orders in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19.


Cases of COVID-19 at Michigan State University seem to be on the decline, but the numbers may not reveal the entire picture.

The Ingham County Health Department has ordered thirty large houses in East Lansing to immediately quarantine for the next two weeks.
