Ingham County

According to the Michigan State Police, there were 516 individual acts of violent crime in Ingham County in 2015.  That’s the most recent year for which there’s available data.  A dozen of those incidents were homicides.

Only 6 states in the U.S. do not have a Poet Laureate, and Michigan is one of them.
After attempting to make that happen a few years ago, a group of mid-Michigan organizations have shifted to a smaller scale.
