Tuesday's primary election ballot includes several millage proposals that would continue funding for 9-1-1 emergency services and services for people over 60 in Ingham County, along with money for parks in Lansing. WKAR's Scott Pohl reports on the proposals.

School millages are on ballots Tuesday in Mid Michigan, but voters will also serve another purpose besides casting their votes.

For many local municipalities Tuesday’s elections are a chance for clerks and election workers to practice in advance of the 2020 presidential election.

States are beginning to plan to pivot to conduct largely vote by mail elections during the coronavirus pandemic. In Michigan, two to three million voters are expected to vote from home.

Tuesday is Election Day in mid-Michigan, and several school districts are seeking millage increases.
