Gov. Rick Snyder appointed Nancy Schlichting, a former CEO of the Henry Ford Health System, to the Michigan State University Board of Trustees. 

The Michigan State  University Board of Trustees held its first meeting since the controversial decision to cut the Healing Assistance Fund. The fund earmarked $10 million for survivors of Larry Nassar’s sexual abuse to allow them to access counseling and mental health services.

Perles Resigns From MSU Board Of Trustees

Michigan State University Trustee George Perles has resigned. The 84-year-old cited family as well as health challenges in his resignation letter to the university.

Do not expect town halls or open interviews with the candidates for Michigan State University's next president. A memo issued Wednesday said the process will be kept private. At least one campus group urging transparency after the Larry Nassar scandal criticized that decision.
