Biographer Robert Coram calls John Boyd "one of the most important unknown men of our time." Boyd, an Air Force colonel, introduced innovative theories of aerial combat and championed the F-15 fighter jet. He revolutionized American warfare. Coram speaks with NPR's Steve Inskeep.
